Step one:Warming-up
(1)Greetings:Hello, boys and girls.
Nice to meet you!
How are you?
(2)Chant:January, February, March.
Spring all catch.
April, May, June.
At Summer’s home.
July, August, September.
Make Autumn beautiful!
October, November, December.
Love Winter forever!
Step two: Revision
1.T show each month card and let S(s) say it 
2.T take outa month turning plate, there are 12 months on it . T firstly turn it one time, S(s) say out the month, then do it morequickly.After that,let S(s) act the little teacher.
eg: T:What month is it? 
S(s):October
Step three: Presentation
T draw a birthday cake on the blackboard but no candles, then ask the S(s):
T:Dear friends,guess, what’s this?
S(1):cake.
S(2): a birthday cake.
T:You’re so clever! Haha, today is my birthday ,this is for me , so I draw some beautiful candleson it.
Would you like say something to me ?
 S(1):Happy birthday to you!
 S(2):Happy birthday to you!
 S(3):Happy birthday to you!
T: Thanks a lot! Now, let’ssingthe birthday song ,ok?
S(s):ok!
[open the tape recorder and sing the song together, T put on the birthday hat]
T: My bithday isin April , When is yourbirthday ? So today our topic is "When is your birthday?"
[stick the title card on the blackboard and teach the sentence more times]
 Practice:T walk to some students and ask "When is your birthday?"
S(1):My birthday is in June.
S(2):My birthday is in November.
S(3):My birthday is in April.
T: Very good,so we can answer like this "My birthday is in________."
 [write the answer next to the question]
Game: 1)T ask , S(s) answer it together.
 2) Boy ask , girl answer.
 3)T ask each group, then draw some prize on the different group.

Game: (1) Ask the question row by row.
 (2) Ask and answer in groups.
 Step four:Consolidation
 1.Practise all sentences in pairs or in groups .
2.Let some pairs come to the front and 

act it.
Stepfive: Work
 T use CAI and show the work paper,then T write herself birthday ,thenask one student and come 

to the front and finish his work.
 
Hand out all work, let S(s) do it by themselves.
